SAGA iOS Street Art Guide App, Product Design Course, 6B College 2020 - 'SAGA' is a Street Art Guide app that allows street art lovers to go on a graffiti tour with just a smartphone in their hand. No more expensive guide tours, no more free tours packed with people. Your choice, your preferences, on your time, where ever you are in the world.
Customers Survey - I started with a survey about the way people enjoy street art. The answers did not surprise me but definitely helped me with my decisions making later on.
Persona - I built a persona based on the answers I received from the audience that replied to my survey.
Fonts and colors - I chose the San Francisco Fonts family in order to keep the user's experience familiar and recognizable.
The chosen color scheme came from the world of street signs and design, and while the yellow is very bold and bright it still gives the respect and the spotlight the artworks deserve.
The final result is an app that allows street art lovers to discover street art around them or around a destination they plan to visit, check out popular street art to follow, and get a full explanation of the chosen artwork (textual or sound based). With SAGA you are not chained to a guide, a group, or a timeline. You create your own tour on your conditions and you won't interrupt the local residents in the area.
Nearby - On the Nearby screen, you can find street art around you, arranged by destination, where you can keep the artwork for later or go straight to the artwork's page. You can choose a map view as well and also change your location.
Routes - Routes screen will allow you to create a route for your tour, based on the map so you can prepare your trip according to it. You can also plan multiple routes for different trips in the future.
Saved - Your routes and old trips will be saved on a designated screen so you can always go back to them or recommend them to a friend.
Scanner - If you are more of a spontaneous kind of explorer and you run into a street artwork on your way, you can scan it with SAGA's scanner and if it exists in stock you will be sent straight to the artwork's page (kind of like Shazam for street art). On the artwork page, you will receive all of the information available for it. You can read the text or listen privately with your headphones to a voice explanation, just as if you were a visitor to a museum. You can save and share the page with your social media accounts, or go offline to keep it quiet for the rest of your privet street art tour.
SAGA can be the new face of street art tours, the way you want it and the way we deserve it.
